Abstract
Bioethics must be considered along with studies of human nature, that is, Anthropology. Anthropologically, man is considered a duality of the physical and spiritual. Therefore, with respect to contemporary bioethics problems, the meaning of physical life must have fundamental value. Following are the viewpoints from bioethics on the foundation of anthropology: 1) the doctor-patient relation is based on needs and assistance, hence, seeks care rather than autonomy; 2) Human embryonic stem cell research should be prohibited since the human embryo is indeed the embodiment of a future human being; and 3) The xenotransplantation must be allowed only when all questions and issues connected with the defence of the dignity and identity of the recipient have been taken into account. In order to preserve human dignity, bioethics should be founded on anthropology.
